They were replaced by the colors and identity of the 2nd Battalion, 32nd Field Artillery, known as the “Proud Americans.” This change wasn’t merely administrative—it erased a cherished identity and a proud history.
The connection between a military unit and its colors is profound and deeply personal for those who serve under them. For the soldiers of the 2-320 FA, the “Balls of the Eagle” was more than a name; it was a legacy, a touchstone, and a source of pride.
