Request AITA to Adopt a Digital Sign-in Policy for Sports Event Participants

Request AITA to Adopt a Digital Sign-in Policy for Sports Event Participants
The Issue
I am a parent to a fifteen-year-old tennis enthusiast who is actively involved in the All India Tennis Association (AITA). However, the current provision from the AITA requires players to physically sign in a day before the qualifiers, a factor that is causing numerous inconveniences. As most players, including my child, are school-going children, registering a day before the tournament means losing a precious day of school, in addition to the already missed days due to their sports commitment. The requirement also means incurring extra expenses on accommodation and food, especially for events organized outside our home city.
This policy significantly deters parents from nurturing their children's sports potential due to the high cost and time commitment it requires. If the AITA seeks to improve the game and boost the country's representation, it's high time they relook into policies that unnecessarily impose more cost and time burdens, such as the pre-tournament sign-in regulation. The adoption of a digital sign-in policy would serve the twin benefits of convenience and cost-effectiveness, thereby fostering a favorable environment for more players to engage in the sport.
I therefore urge AITA to reconsider this policy and adopt a digital sign-in system that is more accommodative and easier for both players and parents. Help us make sports participation more accessible and feasible for all interested children. Please sign this petition to call for a change!
