On a daily basis at any given time,the average travelling Filipino citizen is subjected to extreme scrutiny when passing through customs to travel abroad.Over 50% of the time ,travellers are offloaded and have to bear the loss of what could be very expensive travel fares.While it is justified to request proper documents to travel, it borders on speculation and prejudice when officers assume passengers are travelling with the intention of not coming back or going to work without work permits  when they may actually be travelling on vaction.This borders on the infringement of a persons basic human rights and if it is speculative to think that citizens travelling with the intentions of not returning or working,  then it should be mandatory that the cost of the airfare be reimbursed to the traveller by immigration authorities because alot of the time the officers could be wrong.It's also been said that offers take bribes of 70K - 100K PHP in order to allow citizens to board without issue so there is also an alleged spate of corruption taking place.This does not shine a good light on your country especially for tourism and how foreigners view how you treat your own.The time is now to make some much needed changes and start treating you passengers with some respect and dignity.Reimburse them for their airfare or expect more unwanted publicity on this issue as the word spreads !!!!!!!!!
