Reprint Blue Bloods- The Rebekah Harkness Story by Craig Unger

The Issue

In July 2020, Taylor Swift re-introduced the world to the socialite Rebekah Harkness, a St. Louis born, eccentric divorcee who married into the Standard Oil Fortune. She was the former resident of the Holiday House, located in Westerly, Rhode Island. Currently, Taylor Swift resides in and owns this beautiful estate as a part of her large real estate portfolio.

Rebekah Harkness' magnificent life was chronicled by Craig Unger in a book, Blue Blood, in 1988. Reception from reviews were positive, with a book critic at the LA Times stating "This story would be the envy of any soap- opera writer... A model page turner."

This book is not currently being reprinted and is difficult to come by. Those copies that are still in circulation are retailing for anywhere from 150.00 to 500.00 for this book, making it cost prohibitive for anyone interested in learning more about her. It is difficult to find in public libraries, as many copies that library systems were in existence were either removed from circulation or not returned. Due to this, her story is inaccessible to a majority of the general public.

Without a reprint, the true story of Rebekah Harkness will simply become folklore.
