The Issue

I am a very involved student on campus, and often, my commitments pull me in numerous directions. As a result, there are times when I am not able to attend Mrs. Phillips-Carroll's class. Unfortunately, whenever I try to make up for any missed assignments, I find myself being constantly overlooked. Even during class time, my attempts to ask questions are met with disregard; instead of receiving guidance, I am screamed at, belittled, and treated as less than a human being. I am not alone in this experience—it is something my fellow classmates endure as well.

The behavior of Mrs. Phillips-Carroll not only hinders our academic progress but also creates a toxic learning environment where students feel disrespected and undervalued. Such conduct is detrimental to our education, mental well-being, and overall school experience. Teachers play a crucial role in shaping our lives, and it's imperative that they foster an atmosphere of encouragement, respect, and mutual understanding.

The issue at hand necessitates a change to benefit each student in our school. By having Mrs. Phillips-Carroll reprimanded, it is our hope to see a transformation in her behavior. A constructive dialogue between students, parents, and the administration can help identify specific areas for improvement in her teaching methods and interpersonal interactions.

We ask the school administration to take immediate action to address these issues. It is time that our voices are heard and steps are taken to ensure a positive and supportive atmosphere for all students.

Please sign this petition to demand change and hold our educators accountable for their actions. Together, we can make a difference for a better educational experience.
