A group of committed citizens and avid tennis players have joined forces with hope of accomplishing the goal of achieving covered tennis courts in our community.  We are researching and meeting with different town constituents to understand the feasibility of different locations. 

Currently, there are three covered courts in the county at Teton Pines Country Club.  With a recent shift to more privatized membership, these courts are very restrictive to most members of the community.  In addition, in a town that has snow on the ground for a minimum of seven months and a community with many avid tennis players, there seems to be the significant need to provide greater opportunity for this segment of the community to play tennis year round. 

This petition is meant to verify support of a beginning proposal that which is being put forth to achieve the goal of covered courts in Teton County.  Our overall objective is to have minimal impact on land and hopefully utilize an existing area, though non-limited-to, covering an area that already has courts. 

Through our research and initial conversations with Parks and Recreation, we are open to discussing the potential for possible locations, including existing or future land zoned for public use.
