Replace ugly downtown art

Replace ugly downtown art
The Issue
The new downtown "frequency" art is an embarrassment and trippig hazard. It's ugly and we all know it. Isn't even done by a local.
I propose I giant bedazzled gorilla statue but really almost anything else would be better than the current broken scrap metal half finished looking no other explanation but nepotism -pathetic-ugly,sad and wilting, garbage that's currently installed.
If this is the level we are stooping to as a society at least the Clarke County government should pay me, a local, to design their scrap metal garbage-core installments. I can at least make sure all the pieces are 100% recycled.
We deserve to know how the artist was chosen and why a local artist was not. We also deserve to know if there was any community input involved. The reactions and comments online are overwhelmingly negative. How can this be explained if the Clarke county government really thought this art was in the public's best interest? Who makes the decisions about what counts as beautifying the city and how is community input taken into account? How much did this piece cost?
Please sign this petition and help spread the hate(for the sake of love for our town) so we can get out questions answered and those installments replaced asap.
