Repeal the Railway Labor Act

Repeal the Railway Labor Act
The Issue
The Railway Labor Act is an antiquated and unjust law that undercuts the fundamental protections of the National Labor Relations Act for workers deemed "essential" to the transportation business. The law considers it illegal for workers in various transportation industries to engage in self-help (eg: slow downs and strikes) and favors the large corporations who benefit from the hard work of the laborers who generate their profits.
The archaic law was put in to place in 1926, and allows government mediators to side with big business and destroy working class efforts to better their own lives, and fight for their own rights with the only strength working class people have (the right to withhold their labor), and decimates the equality that any working class person should be afforded by the National Labor Relations Board.
We are calling on the current administration and the legislators who represent the hundreds of thousands of working class individuals affected by this law to do the right thing and repeal this unjust, unfair, and un-American law and allow workers to take back their power, and to stand up to the millionaires and billionaires who benefit from our hard work.
