Repair and Improve Road Conditions on Braxton Ln.

Repair and Improve Road Conditions on Braxton Ln.
The Issue
I, like many other residents, drive on the severely compromised road of Braxton Ln. every day. It's so bad that I was left with no other choice but to replace my vehicle's front end due to the extreme potholes in the road. Vehicles struggle in bad weather, and we are in a position where most cannot visit our homes without a vehicle equipped with 4WD.
We are among ten households, which includes a Stillwater police officer, fully relying on this road. We face the dangerous and costly consequences of the poor road conditions, especially during winter when getting stuck becomes a regular ordeal. As seen in the pictures some residents have resorted to partially driving through others yards and attempting some repairs of their own. It reflects poorly on infrastructure planning that even those tasked with serving and protecting our community must navigate this difficult terrain daily. The road lacks a ditch on the South side and has washed out portions of the road in the rain. The entry is very dangerous as you have to go slow through the large drop off onto Fairgrounds road where traffic comes over a hill at 45 MPH.
The American Society of Civil Engineers' 2021 Report Card for America's Infrastructure gives roads a "D" grade, highlighting the urgent need for attention and investment across the country, but our experience on Braxton Ln is a case study of why this issue is so crucial. Consequently, it is high time for us to demand change, not just for the sake of our cars, but more importantly, for the safety of every individual who must travel on Braxton Ln.
We urge our local government to take immediate action, repair the terrible potholes, and improve the weather resilience of Braxton Ln. Please show your support to our cause and help us live more comfortably and safely in our own homes by signing this petition.
