House Bill 1003 introduces new regulations and changes to the live event ticket market that dictates how private citizens can sell live entertainment and sports event tickets to each other. The bill will pick winners and losers in the currently competitive secondary ticket market and actually redefines the market in such a way as to disproportionately reward specific private companies, especially Ticketmaster and its business partners.

HB1003 gives ticket sellers the legal authority to sell tickets in whatever manner they choose including limiting resale to preferred platforms and defines a ticket as a revocable license that can be denied any time, with or without cause. 

No other industry operates this way in Florida, because these restrictions violate some of our most fundamental property rights.
