For years, the Republicans and our friends at Fox News have been telling us that socialism is bad. Forget logic and reasoning, socialism is just bad! As such, I intend to prove that Santa Claus is a socialist, and the Republican Party must denounce him as such.

These are the reasons why Santa Claus is a socialist:
1. He and all of his elves live in an isolated collective compound located somewhere in the North Pole.
2. All of his elves slave year round working for little or no pay.
3. Santa and his elves do not own the homes they live in, nor do they own the facilities where they work. The collective does.
4. Each year, the Santa collective masses a huge amount of wealth in the form of toys and redistributes it to "poor" toyless children around the world.
5. Worse yet, only the "good" children who support Santa's form of "government" get toys. Everyone else gets lumps of coals.

If you read all of this and got a good laugh during this holiday season, I am glad because you are not really signing this petition to denounce Santa Claus. You are signing this petition because you are tired of the Republican's "President Obama must fail at all cost" strategy that had gridlocked our Federal Government, and the only way to get through to the Republicans is to use their old strategy of labeling people who do not agree with their views as "Socialists."

Instead, you are really petitioning the Republicans to compromise with President Obama and the Democrats in Congress to solve the issues that are hurting the middle class. This includes getting the House of Representatives to extend the payroll tax-cut permanently and increasing taxes on the rich.
