I am writing this petition to address a pressing issue that affects the residents of Burnaby, BC. The closure of North Beta Ave and North Gamma Ave has caused significant disruptions to our daily lives, resulting in increased traffic congestion on Albert St. This situation not only inconveniences us but also poses a serious threat to public safety by making it incredibly difficult for emergency vehicles, such as ambulances, to navigate through Capitol Hill.

As a resident of this community, I have personally experienced the negative consequences of these road closures. The excessive traffic on Albert St has made it increasingly challenging for me and my neighbors to commute efficiently and safely. Moreover, witnessing emergency vehicles struggling to reach their destinations due to the gridlock is deeply concerning.

To address this issue effectively and ensure the well-being of our community members, we urge the relevant authorities in Burnaby to reconsider their decision and reopen North Beta Ave and North Gamma Ave without further delay.

While we understand that road closures may be implemented for various  reason, it is crucial that alternative solutions are considered in order to minimize disruption for residents. We believe that reopening these roads will alleviate traffic congestion on Albert St significantly while ensuring smooth access for emergency vehicles when every second counts.

We firmly believe that reopening these unjustly closed roads will not only restore convenience to our daily lives but also ensure the safety and well-being of our community members during emergencies. We kindly request the Burnaby authorities to reevaluate this decision promptly and take necessary actions to reopen North Beta Ave and North Gamma Ave.
