Reopen the Investigation into Catherine Bollman's Death

The Issue

This petition is a plea for justice, a call to reopen the investigation into the tragic death of Catherine Bollman. Her death was ruled as an accidental positional asphyxiation, but there were suspicious circumstances that suggest otherwise. A neighbor reported seeing bruises on her cheek and a bloody nose, indicating possible foul play. Despite these alarming signs, Sevier County Sheriff Chief Investigator Jeffrey McCarter closed the case without thorough examination.

Catherine's father, Joseph P Bollman who has serious mental health issues, claimed he didn't know how to care for a child - an excuse that should not be used to justify her untimely death. The entire department seems aware of Joe's mental illness yet chose not to investigate further.

Moreover, vital information such as Catherine's name on her birth or death certificate and details about her burial site have been withheld from us by Sevier County Medical Examiner & SCSO - denying us access to autopsy reports which are considered public record in Tennessee.

We believe this case was mishandled and potentially covered up by SCSO protecting Joseph Patrick Bollman. We demand transparency and justice for Catherine Bollman whose life was tragically cut short under suspicious circumstances.

Please sign this petition urging authorities to reopen Catherine Bollman's case so we can finally get answers and seek justice for our beloved granddaughter.
