The indoor pool at Brooklyn's Kingsborough Community College has been more than just a place to swim - it's been a cornerstone for health, fitness, socialization and education in our community. From students of all ages learning a life saving skill to participants in the esteemed Wellness Program looking for a low-impact way to stay in shape, the pool has served us all. Not to mention, our swim and aqua-size instructors have always been first-rate, providing us with the guidance we need to attain our fitness goals. 

However, one of Brooklyn's hidden gems has been closed since 2020 and it is breaking hearts. Learning to swim means having access to a life-saving skill, and having a large, local indoor pool contributes to the overall health and wellbeing of our community.  Hey, this is Brooklyn so visiting an indoor pool means we can swim in the winter time or if it is raining outside - another advantage!

We need to rally and voice our want for Kingsborough Community College to reopen the indoor pool. If you too recognize the immense value it brings to the students and communities it serves, join us in our appeal. Let our collective voice remind the decision-makers of the critical role the indoor pool plays in creating a healthier, happier community.
