🚨PETITION UPDATE🚨 Timeline of Events Released For nearly 40 years, Becky’s case has been a web of unanswered questions, overlooked evidence, and silence. To help people understand just how much has been missed, we’ve put together a Timeline of Events (1986–Present). This timeline shows: • The night Becky disappeared in March 1986. • Critical moments when evidence was found but ignored. • Court actions and sealed documents that kept the truth from her family. • Newly uncovered details that prove there is more to this story. ⬇️TIMELINE⬇️ 1986 – Disappearance & Early Events • March 1: 22-year-old Rebecca “Becky” Beard disappears after leaving the Excalibur Club in Freeport, TX leaving behind her 2-year-old daughter. • Witnesses allege: altercation at a Surfside after party, Becky was struck in the head by a powerful business owner, and placed in a vehicle. • No Crime Scene: —Excalibur, Surfside, Mini Mart, or Clute house—was ever declared a crime scene. • March 4–5: Becky’s sister called out of class by an officer; law enforcement dusts Becky’s room, but reports are incomplete and witness names are missing. 1986 – Anonymous Letter & Escape • August 13: Becky’s grandfather receives an anonymous letter that states Paul Taylor killed her. • August 14: Paul Taylor escapes from jail; lives under a false name until caught in January 1987. 1994 – Indictment • June 9: Paul Taylor indicted for habitual murder (counts 1 & 2). 1995 – Evidence & Plea • February 7: BCSO photographs wall behind paneling in Clute house. • February 8: Dogs alert under house; fabric and other possible evidence located. • Same morning: Becky’s mother finds a shovel with burnt handle and a woman’s shoe, turned over to DA. • Evidence log shows a Remington 1100 shotgun entered at 8:05 a.m. • February 8: Judge’s sealed document later revealed to state Becky’s remains were recovered and sent for identification. • February 1995: Paul Taylor pleads guilty. Official story: “No body, no weapon.” 1998 – Case File • Official case file and evidence destroyed. 2023 – Sealed Document Revealed • Judge’s sealed document leaked and unsealed, showing Becky’s remains were recovered but family was never told. 2025 – New Discoveries • Newly uncovered evidence logs confirm both a weapon and remains were documented. 👉 This timeline shows decades of unanswered questions. Becky’s family deserves the truth. Please sign & share this petition—together, we can demand justice. Follow facebook page: Finding Becky Beard Join in on the conversation: Finding Becky Beard: Community Discussion ‼️ORIGINAL POST‼️ In 1986, 23-year-old Rebecca “Becky” Beard disappeared in Brazoria County, Texas. Nearly a decade later, Paul Taylor pleaded guilty to her murder—even though Becky’s body was never found and no weapon was produced. For decades, Becky’s family lived with the unknown. But newly uncovered information proves the truth was buried: • February 1995: Just days before Paul’s plea, dogs alerted under the house where Becky was killed. Fabric and other possible evidence were uncovered, but investigators stopped the dig. • That same morning, Becky’s mother found a shovel with a burnt handle and a woman’s high-heeled shoe—turned over to the DA’s office. • A sealed judge’s document, revealed only in 2023, states that Becky’s remains were recovered and sent for identification. • To make matters worse, the official case file was later reported as “lost or destroyed.” These facts raise disturbing questions: Was Becky’s body recovered and hidden from her family? Was she still under the house, buried off Highway 2004, or moved somewhere else entirely? And most importantly: where are her body and the weapon today? Even now, in December 2024, the investigator reassigned to Becky’s case has his name all over the original investigation. This is not impartial, and it is not justice. We, the undersigned, call on the Brazoria County District Attorney’s Office, the Texas Rangers, and the Texas Attorney General to: 1. Reopen Becky Beard’s case with a full, independent review by an investigator unconnected to the original case. 2. Release all sealed and missing records tied to her disappearance and the 1995 plea deal. 3. Locate and account for Becky’s remains and the weapon that has never been properly investigated. 4. Pursue justice for Becky with transparency and integrity. Justice doesn’t expire. Becky’s truth must be brought to light. Sign to demand justice for Becky Beard.
