Bring Inpatient and Emergency Care Back to Our Communities

In 2020, the devastating flood forced Norwood Hospital to close.

Since then, 250,000 residents across 12 communities have lost local emergency and inpatient hospital care.

Families now face:

·        Longer emergency travel times 

·        More crowded nearby hospitals 

·        Fewer inpatient beds 

·        Delays in medical care

The bill supports reopening a full-service regional hospital at the former Norwood Hospital site.

·        the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to work with healthcare providers and local officials to restore emergency and inpatient care for our region.
