Mpower Albuquerque is an organization dedicated to preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS in young gay men since 1997, at least it was until yesterday(01/06/11) when it was force to close its doors for the first time in 13 years. Mpower has been endangered by its very parent organization New Mexico Aids Services. The people in upper management have seen Mpower as unnessacery for a long time now. These people are out of touch. Out of touch with the community in which they serve. Out of touch people have become invested in this program to be the leaders of tomorrow.
