We, the Central Coast community, call on Central Coast Council to prioritise the reopening of the Lake Haven Cinema Complex.

For many years, Metro Cinema Lake Haven has been one of the few affordable and accessible entertainment venues on the Coast. With ticket prices at $15 - significantly lower than larger chains, it has provided a vital community space for:

• Families facing cost-of-living pressures
• Pensioners and seniors
• Young people and students
• People with disabilities and mobility challenges
• Community support participants
• Local employees

Beyond entertainment, the cinema has supported local jobs, social inclusion, and activity in the Lake Haven.

We respectfully request that Council:

Provide a clear public timeline for securing a new operator
Prioritise affordability in the operator selection process
Ensure accessibility remains a core requirement
Reopen the cinema as quickly as possible to minimise community impact
This petition is not about revisiting past disputes. It is about ensuring that Lake Haven retains an affordable, accessible community cinema without unnecessary delay.

Our community deserves vibrant, inclusive spaces — not prolonged vacancies.

We urge Council to act swiftly and transparently to restore this valued local facility.
