The current state of the Oshawa Civic Recreation outdoor track is causing injuries and making it difficult for runners to train and compete effectively. As a track athlete who has ran on this horrid track multiple times, I have personally experienced the challenges posed by the hard and slippery surface, outdated relay exchange zones, and deteriorating conditions. This track is a vital resource for our runner community, providing a space for athletes, students, and fitness enthusiasts to practice and stay healthy.

Fixing this track is the least this city can do for trakc athletes in Ontario. Generally, we need more track and field facilities, but since that most likely won’t become a priority, it's time we renovate the ONLY outdoor track facility we have in the Durham region.
