The Nocca Administration is currently considering not renewing Heidi Malnar's teaching contract. Heidi has worked tirelessly with the Nocca students for 10+ years, but as she is studying to receive a higher degree, it has become apparent that Nocca will not accommodate her in the coming school year, and in fact, she may be let go. Just the idea of losing such a phenomenal teacher as Heidi, has already struck chords in the hearts of students across multiple disciplines at Nocca, and we have decided that it is our duty to use our voices, and demand action. As an experienced and dedicated educator, Ms. Heidi has consistently demonstrated her commitment to her students' success and growth. 

Heidi's background in psychology has enabled her to reach the students of the dance department, on a much deeper level than a mundane teacher. She has been not only a dance educator, but a mentor, and a friend to us all. Ms. Heidi is patient, and most importantly she is ours! 

In the past, Nocca has prided themselves on employing working artists as teachers, yet have taken to diverting Heidi's work towards developing her education at all. Heidi deserves the support of an administration she has devoted a tenure to.

We call to question whether Nocca truly values progress, their staff, and said "working artists," or if it is just another advertising ploy. When people in power make decisions for others instead of with others, power itself can prove to be a very dangerous weapon. Please sign this petition to support our cause. We urge the Nocca Administration to consider this action! Heidi wants to continue at Nocca, so we say, let her stay!
