Not to long after the cancellation of Inside Job was announced, Hamish Steele, The creator of Dead End: Paranormal Park announced that after two seasons, the show has been cancelled.

The creators have worked really hard on this show and even was planning season 3 already, now they have to scrap that work and no-one will be able to see it. It puts their efforts to waste. It becomes a story that will never be finished and it's a huge slap in the face for the creator, the team, and the animation scene in general. 

This show was one of a kind, making huge strides in diversity with the protagonists being a Jewish Trans Man and a Pakistani, bisexual, neurodivergent woman of colour. By cancelling the show it risks other creators not taking the chance to have more representation in their own shows. Good Representation is important, especially for youth, to increase self esteem and empathy and tolerance towards other people they might be different too. Without representation, people can make assumptions or have others influence their decisions to have bias and cause people to feel misrepresented/unrepresented creating feelings of inadequacy and causing low self esteem. 

On-top of this, animation as a whole has been getting alot of mistreatment by streaming services, which will end up with less animated shows being produced, causing less jobs in an already difficult field to get into that has a low pay. If they cancel one show with large diversity for minority groups, who's to say they won't cancel other shows that aren't just animated as well? If they aren't afraid to censor one show for profit, who's to say it can't happen to another show like Heartstopper or Heartbreak High?

The sooner we reach our petition goal, the sooner Netflix may reconsider it's decision and renew Dead End, as it shows that their is a demand for it.
