A petition to renew the critically acclaimed “Dark Winds” on AMC. As of now, the series has hit an all-time high of viewership with season 2 and deserves to be renewed (along with a bigger budget). Starring Zahn Mcclarnon, Kiowa Gordon and Jessica Matten (along with guest stars A. Martinez and Jeri Ryan), this show dives into the lives of the Navajo Reservation in the 1970s. Based on the Leaphorn and Chee crime novels by Tony Hillerman, this well-written and well-acted series also discusses topics that need to be shown, such as the federal government’s sterilization of Native Women and the deep-seated racism of Americans toward the Natives. This show deserves more seasons and a larger budget to expand on these stories and give these actors recognition for their hard works. Tell this history. Listen to these voices. #RENEWDARKWINDS
