Rename the City of Bath as "Shower" Due to Misleading Facilities

Rename the City of Bath as "Shower" Due to Misleading Facilities
The Issue
Upon arriving in the renowned city of Bath, popularly known for its ancient Roman-built baths, it was distressing to discover that the hotel I stayed at only had a shower facility. This unexpected incident has resulted in considerable disappointment and it seems that renaming Bath as "Shower" would be a more accurate representation.
Despite its name, the city of Bath encompasses a variety of facilities and bathrooms in hotels may not necessarily include a bath. The provision of bath or shower in hotel rooms can vary based on the grade of hotel, its demand, and cost implications. According to a survey by the American Hotel & Lodging Association, 43% of hotels in the United States have shifted towards showers away from bathtubs between 2008 and 2018, citing reasons such as water conservation and guest preference (Meyer, The Atlantic, 2019).
This petition aims not to criticize the commitment of the city of Bath to provide a top-class hospitality industry but to draw attention to the misleading nature of its name. It's personal to me, but it surely also affects others who might visit with similar expectations.
Ultimately, the name 'Shower', whilst seeming humorous, is aimed to spark a conversation about expectations versus reality in hospitality services. Please consider this matter seriously and let's make sure future visitors have a clearer understanding of what to expect. Sign this petition and join me in requesting this change.
