To all concerned members of our community,

The naming of a public space, especially a venue as significant as our football stadium, should reflect the collective values and aspirations of its patrons and the broader community. Such a name is not merely an identifier but serves as a beacon of the principles we hold dear and the lessons we wish to pass on to future generations.

It has been admitted by Archbishop Lipscomb himself, that during his tenure as Archbishop of Mobile, he was aware of serious instances of child abuse within the clergy. Despite this knowledge, not only did he fail to report these grievous acts to the proper authorities, but his primary solution was to transfer the predator priests to a different parish. This course of action sadly resulted in further harm to children, as the priest continued his abusive behavior in new settings.

Such gross negligence and blatant disregard for the well-being and safety of the vulnerable are inexcusable and have caused lasting harm to the victims, their families, and the very fabric of our community.

**Objective of this Petition:**

Through renaming the stadium, we seek to reaffirm our commitment to core values of integrity, accountability, and justice. It's imperative that our public landmarks stand as symbols of these principles. 

We encourage our community to rally behind this cause and envision a stadium name that genuinely mirrors our collective ethos and forward-looking spirit.
