The Issue

Fifty-nine years ago, on February 24, 1966, Ghana’s dreams were ambushed by a coup spearheaded by Emmanuel Kwasi Kotoka—a coward who stabbed our nation in the back. Yet today, our gateway to the world, Kotoka International Airport, still carries his cursed name—a slap in the face to every proud Ghanaian. This ends now. We demand it be renamed Accra International Airport—a bold reclaiming of our dignity, a rejection of betrayal’s stench. For decades, we’ve been forced to salute a traitor while our true giants, like Kwame Nkrumah, are sidelined. We’ll never know the heights Nkrumah’s vision could have soared to—but we damn well know the gutter Kotoka and his gang of fake cowboys dragged us into. Sign this petition. Rip down this disgrace. Let’s lift Ghana’s soul back up!
