The Westminster City Council voted in October 2025 to honorarily designate a street in the city as Charlie Kirk Way. Since then, legions of patriots have flocked to Westminster to honor Charlie Kirk and wholly respect the Charlie Kirk Way street sign.

Although Charlie Kirk never visited Westminster and probably didn’t even know the city existed, his impact and legacy for the city of Westminster should never be forgotten. 

Councilmember Amy Phan West is right: honorarily designating All American Way as Charlie Kirk Way isn’t enough.

The city of Westminster should do way more to memorialize the impact Charlie Kirk directly had on the city’s history. That’s why we’re calling on the Westminster City Council to officially rename every street possible after Charlie Kirk. For example, Brookhurst St. should be renamed Charlie Kirk St., and every numbered street should have “Charlie Kirk” inserted right after each number (1st Charlie Kirk St., 2nd Charlie Kirk St., etc.).

Renaming so many streets may cost the city some money upfront and cause issues by changing everyone’s addresses. That’s why the city only spent $3,000 measly taxpayer dollars on honorarily designating All American Way as Charlie Kirk Way. But this is a critical investment in our future and a sacrifice we should all be willing to make to honor an American hero.
