We must change the entirety of Alabama to "Malfunction Junction". This name encompasses the "Malfunction Junky" spirit better, and would better resonate with the people of the state.

For far too long, we have had the quite wretched and horrendous name of "Alabama" and it's time for a change.  If we were to change the name, it would being peace to the East Coast and clear the reputation of "Alabama's" name.

Better Tourism: Everybody knows the name "Alabama", which does not give people a good reason to travel and tour the state. If we were to change the name to Malfunction Junction, it would gain the popularity of not only tourists across the world, but also social media. With social media steadily rising, millions upon millions of people would see the change and rally towards it. Giving Malfunction Junction this new virality would allow it to be better recognized across the world as the only state that has been given a name makeover.

Transportation Challenges: Seeing as how "Alabama" is famous for their complex highway intersections and numerous highway interchanges, the name Malfunction Junction would be not only a nod to these transportation challenges that the state faces, but would also give the government a commendable reason to give Malfunction Junction's freeways the makeover that it deserves.

Emphasizing improvement: Since "Alabama" has its numerous flaws, renaming it to Malfunction Junction would be an admirable call-to-action to improve the state as a whole.
