Students attending the Murrieta Valley Unified District schools have been assigned to do a senior culminating project as a requirement to graduate. This project requires the student to talk about their career and college plans. Not only do they have to talk about their plans, but they also have to bring equipment and/or uniform representing their career. Many of us students do not know what we want to do nor have the tools to represent our career. This is why we need to remove it from our curriculum in order to give students the chance to graduate. If we get enough signatures, this will be mentioned in the next city hall meeting. If not removed, than we can at least not make it a high school graduation requirement. I don’t think it’s fair to pry students of the opportunity to graduate. Everybody deserves and education , it is a right. They will not and can not take away our freedom of press.
