Lightspeed Filtering Agent is categorized as spyware and bloatware as it is used to exchange data and files of students without their consent. Several computers issued by schools have Lightspeed installed and are known for causing chromebooks to slow down and lag, due to RAM boosting. Students are losing control of their personal devices which they and their parents pay for. In all, Lightspeed Filtering Agent is redundant as it is meant to prevent students from accessing harmful websites and protect them from viruses but Lightspeed itself is a virus.

Lightspeed also breaches privacy and is unconstitutional as it breached the 4th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and thus students being forced to use it are able to press charges. I created this petition in hope of these issues becoming more well known and having Lightspeed removed or replaced.
