Michigan Athletics should reflect the highest standards of leadership, accountability, and excellence. Under Athletic Director Warde Manuel, those standards have not been met.

His tenure has been marked by poor oversight, reactive decision-making, lack of transparency, and growing instability in Michigan’s most important athletic programs. These issues have damaged trust among fans, alumni, and donors—and put Michigan’s national reputation at risk. 

This petition is not personal. It is about leadership.

We call on the University of Michigan Board of Regents to remove Warde Manuel as Athletic Director and conduct a national search for a proven, transparent leader who can restore stability and excellence to Michigan Athletics.

Michigan deserves better leadership. It’s time for change.
