The thought of them suffering due to war crimes, in a war over in the Middle East, where the U.S. has been showing continuous military involvement, brings unbearable worry to families like mine across the nation. Every parent deserves to see their children grow in a world of peace, not one haunted by the devastation of battles on foreign soil.

For years, the U.S. has been entangled in the unrest across the Middle East, often under the guise of peacekeeping. However, too often, this has come at the expense of American lives and enormous financial costs, borne from the taxes of households across the country. It is time to critically assess the toll this involvement takes on our troops and our national resources.

The current situation involving Israel and Iran threatens once again to draw us into a ground war. The involvement of the U.S. in these conflicts does not only risk the lives of our soldiers but also strains international relations and diverts attention away from pressing domestic issues that affect American citizens daily.

It is vital to halt sending our tax dollars abroad for wars that drain resources and contribute to further escalation without resolving the deep-rooted issues at hand. Let us focus on diplomacy and working with global partners to ensure security through peaceful means rather than through military intervention.
