I am writing this petition because I, like many others, am deeply concerned about the recent establishment of a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) club on the Worcester State University campus. Having attended Worcester State for several years, I have always appreciated the inclusive and diverse environment that the university promotes. However, the introduction of TPUSA has shattered this sense of unity and belonging for many students.

Turning Point USA is a controversial organization known for its polarizing views and controversial tactics. Its presence on campus is troubling for many students, faculty, and staff who feel that TPUSA's ideologies and methods are not in line with our community's core values. Those of us who are committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful campus environment are concerned that TPUSA may undermine the harmony and mutual respect we strive to uphold.

Numerous students have expressed feelings of discomfort and unease since the group’s inception here. The fear of division and misunderstanding is palpable, and it's crucial for the administration to recognize the detrimental impact TPUSA is having on the student body. For instance, many universities across the country have faced significant disruptions on campus due to TPUSA chapters, leading to protests, tension, and distractions from academic pursuits.

In order to promote a positive and inclusive campus environment, we urge the Worcester State administration to take decisive action and remove the TPUSA club from our campus. This will not only affirm the university's commitment to inclusivity and respect for all students but also alleviate the growing fears among those who feel threatened by the disruptive potential of such organizations.
