The Issue

In August of last year, tragedy struck when our community lost Tripp Brazeale during a police pursuit led by Deputy Alvin Bynum. In an outrage to the community’s trust, Deputy Bynum decided to turn off his body camera for a crucial 49 minutes during this investigation. Now Alvin Bynum, under the guise of "Trey Bynum," continues to patrol our streets in Crittenden County, with his history seemingly erased, as there are no records of his past misjudgments. This manipulation threatens the transparency and accountability we expect from our law enforcement officers.

Our grievances against Trey Alvin Bynum stem from his failure to comply with standard police procedures, such as keeping his body camera on during investigations, which is not just suspicious but also raises questions about integrity and responsibility. His continued presence with a new name not only disregards the need for justice in Tripp Brazeale’s case but also jeopardizes public safety in our community. Complete transparency and accountability are necessary to ensure we can trust those sworn to protect us.

The sheriff’s office compounds our concern by allegedly listing him as “Trey,” with no existing records, hence obscuring his disciplinary history from the public eye. This lack of disclosure is unacceptable, as it strips the community of its right to be informed about personnel tasked with their protection.

We demand that Trey Alvin Bynum be removed from his position to restore integrity within our law enforcement and honor Tripp Brazeale's memory. It is our responsibility as a community to advocate for justice and ensure that accountability prevails in the systems meant to safeguard us.

Join us in our commitment to transparency and justice. Please sign this petition to hold our officials accountable. Let’s stand together in demanding the removal of Trey Alvin Bynum from Crittenden County law enforcement!
