Remove the wooden fence in Chapman Fields neighborhood

Remove the wooden fence in Chapman Fields neighborhood
The Issue
In the heart of the Chapman Fields neighborhood of Randallstown, MD, something unfortunate has occurred – a wooden fence has been erected that starkly disrupts our once open and welcoming common space. This space, meant for communal enjoyment and neighborly interaction, is now barricaded by a structure that neither reflects our community's aesthetics nor serves its intended purpose.
The vast majority of us, the residents, are opposed to this jarring construction. Originally erected four years after our development’s completion, this fence feels like an afterthought rather than a decision made in unison with our community's voice in mind. Residents should have had the opportunity to decide if we wanted our shared space enclosed.
Furthermore, the concerns are not just aesthetic. Over time, this wooden fence is bound to fade and deteriorate. Already, the area inside the enclosure is poorly maintained, rapidly becoming overgrown and unsightly. This detracts from the overall beauty and harmony of our neighborhood, and it's unacceptable.
Randallstown is a community that thrives on collaboration and shared spaces. We value our visual landscape and the communal bonds strengthened by open spaces. Allowing this fence to remain not only undermines these values but also sets a precedent for discordance within our serene environment.
We implore local authorities and decision-makers to take action immediately. The fence must be removed to restore the integrity of our common area. It is time to act before further disrepair and neglect take root.
Every voice and every signature counts in this matter. Please join our cause and add your signature to demand the removal of this unwanted structure, to once again open up our beautiful neighborhood to all its residents. Sign this petition and help us bring down the barriers that separate us.
