For decades, the Norman Y. Mineta International Airport, just 4 miles north of downtown San Jose has been an impediment to economic growth within the city of San Jose. This airport has caused building height restrictions impacting the development of San Jose. Our proposition is to remove the lousily placed current airport and to replace it with another airport in a more suitable position. The removal of this airport would allow for more vital housing space and commercial areas. The removal of the Norman Y. Mineta International Airport would arguably alleviate the housing crisis in San Jose by allowing much taller high-rise buildings able to accommodate more volume. Furthermore, the elimination of the current airport would reduce noise and air pollution in the area. 

By removing and replacing the Norman Y. Mineta International Airport, we are able to create a more successful and desirable community.
