This petition is to ask Nibley City to remove the Mountable Islands (Cement Triangles) positioned at the entrance of each subdivision feeding into 1200 west. The need to keep traffic under control on 1200 west and maintain safety is something we all agree with. However, the mountable islands already are creating more problems than they are helping. Here are some examples:

• Bus drivers cannot enter the neighborhood if a car is waiting to leave the neighborhood.  The car has to back up to let the bus in.  Additionally, the bus cannot leave the subdivision without pulling out into the oncoming traffic lane.  
• The spacing is too narrow and the angle too tight for vehicles pulling trailers such as RV or ATV vehicles.  
• In the winter, snow will cover the triangles and drivers won't be able to see them to avoid them which will cause tire and axle damage.  

Please remove the mountable islands and restore the entrances with enough space for school buses, recreational trailers and regular vehicles to safely enter 1200 west and leave 1200 west. Thanks.
