Before you begin reading, please know that I addressed this with the Bishop of Leicester over two months ago. After many more attempts I finally got a reply: "Many thanks for your email and to confirm it has been received".

Proposal:
I am calling for you to sign this petition to remove the leadership at St Nicholas and other LGBTQ+ ideology affirming churches around Leicester, consequently leading people astray.
As a bit of background, this church (St Nicholas) is actively involved in PRIDE festivities and in 2024 actually requested to have a PRIDE flag with a cross on it permanently draped over the alter, fortunately they were refused. 
St Nicholas also affirms trans ideology. Imagine hating someone so much that when they came to you, a Christian, claiming that they are in the "wrong body" and "hate the body" they are in, that you would tell them that they are correct to feel that way! God doesn't make mistakes. We should be helping people find their identity in Christ and to see that He has a purpose for them, in the body He created for them.

A defence against LGBTQ+ isogesis:
The Bible is extremely clear on homosexuality-
Leviticus 18:22 NIV- "Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable."
Leviticus 20:13 NIV- "If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."
Paul later confirms that homosexuality is still sinful in Romans 2:25-27 NIV- "They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator- who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error." 
Also, let us not forget Gods divine judgement on Sodom and Gomorrah. After the men of Sodom turned up to Lot's house and called to Lot, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them." We read that Lot said, "No, my friends. Don't do this wicked thing". But the men persist and God rained down fire and sulphur on the city.
A lot of LGBTQ+ affirming churches argue that the Levitical laws were "for then" and not for now and fail (or choose) to see the difference between God's moral law and God's ceremonial (old covenant) law. There is no longer a need for ritual cleansing or for strict dietary requirements as we see in Mark 7:18-19 where Jesus makes all foods clean, as well as many other passages. But does this mean that the commandment to not murder is no longer valid? That idolatry is now okay? Of course not. God's moral law stands. In fact in Leviticus 20:15, just two verses after the verse condemning homosexuality, God condemns beastiality. If we use the revisionists logic, that must also have been for "then and not now" thus making beastiality morally acceptable today.
Another argument used is that, "Jesus never spoke about homosexuality". He also didn't affirm it. The fact He didn't mention homosexuality actually supports that the Levitical law still stands as He didn't address it like He did with other teachings such as; "eye for an eye". Jesus never spoke about beastiality or paedophilia, that doesn't mean He affirms them.

Why the removal of leadership is necessary:
By preaching a false gospel and false teachings they are leading their congregation to damnation. As James R White says, "To preach a false gospel is to commit eternal murder".
I wholeheartedly believe that people of all backgrounds, ethnicity and sexual preference have a right to attend a church and seek a relationship with Jesus Christ. He came to save sinners- myself included, the Scriptures could not be clearer. However Christ doesn't tell us to follow him and not change anything about ourselves or our lifestyle, He calls us to repentance! When Jesus comes across the woman caught in adultery, He saves her from stoning and says, "Those without sin cast the first stone" but he also told the woman, "Go and sin no more". Jesus didn't come to affirm our sinful ways, He came to set us free from them!
No longer should people be led astray under the guise of 'love'. To love someone is not to tolerate their sin, but to show them how to be free of it. It is to speak truth into them and walk with them as they are renewed and sanctified.
Ephesians 4:15 (ESV) — “Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.”
What we see at churches such as St Nicholas is the outworking of 2 Timothy 4:3-4: "For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear."

In conclusion:
I thank you for taking the time to read this and I pray that you see that to the removal of the leadership at St Nicholas and others like it is our duty as Christians, that we may love ALL people in truth according to Gods Word. I pray that all LGBTQ+ identifying people would feel welcome in church and would leave changed by the grace of God, just as we all needed to change (and are still being transformed) when Jesus first saved us. I pray that all people would be saved by the real God of the Bible- not the 2026 revised false god.
