As a student, I find that the i-Ready learning program is completely pointless and is not effective in teaching us anything valuable. Instead of helping us learn, it causes unnecessary stress and even depression among many students. Studies have shown that excessive screen time and poorly designed educational software can negatively impact mental health (American Psychological Association). i-Ready's repetitive tasks and lack of engaging content make it difficult for students to stay motivated and truly understand the material. As a result, the program has received extremely negative reviews, receiving a 1.6 out of 5 stars on Google and a 2.3 out of 5 stars on the Apple App Store. Other websites/learning programs such as DeltaMath and Khan Academy can do way better than i-Ready when it comes to educating kids. It might be fun for little kids, but after they have grown up, i-Ready feels like an absolute waste of time. Some teachers assign 4 (or more) i-Ready lessons to kids PER WEEK which is absolutely absurd. According to a specific review on Google, "I-ready is really annoying, it gives me a headache and I bet it gives other people a headache. I don't see the point of i-Ready unless you like getting annoyed and frustrated. Please don't try i-Ready unless you have to for school or whatever other than that just get a math workbook or something. Anything would be better than i-Ready."

We need to prioritize our mental well-being and seek out more effective educational tools that genuinely help us learn. Please sign this petition to remove the i-Ready learning program from our schools forever.
