I am a long-standing resident of our beloved neighborhood, here in St. Augustine, Florida. We have weathered changes together, both good and bad, but an issue has arisen that threatens the harmony of our community. Our homeowners' association (HOA), once a source of support and stability, is failing in its duty to us residents.

I've been in this neighborhood since it was built and have witnessed it pass through numerous management companies during my tenure here. Initially, our monthly HOA fee was a manageable $140. However, it has ballooned to an exorbitant $440 a month, which is over a staggering 214% increase since I first moved in. This increase has put a financial strain on many of us in the community.

The distressing part is that we, the homeowners, seem to have little control over these matters due to lack of quorum. We are unable to express our dissatisfaction by voting in new board members. Our current board has been comfortably sitting on their posts, unchecked and unchallenged.

This petition seeks to rectify this. We request removal of the current HOA board despite the lack of necessary quorum from homeowners. Let's usher in a new era and instill a sense of fresh leadership that is deeply rooted in sincerity and commitment. Only then can we hope to find where our funds are being misappropriated and curtail this unnecessary draining of resources, thereby reducing our HOA fees.
