Having served as a dedicated student, faculty member, or part of the community closer to Pima Community College in Tucson, AZ, we are deeply concerned about the actions and leadership of Skylar Webb, the current Department Head of Automotive. His tenure, unfortunately, has been marked by a significant decline in both morale and the quality of the programs offered under his supervision, notably the Ford ASSET program.

Skylar Webb has cultivated an environment that many describe as hostile. Evidence from faculty and staff testimonies suggests that his management style has led to an intimidating and uncomfortable workplace. Reports have surfaced indicating that he has deliberately orchestrated efforts to terminate the highly-valued Ford ASSET program, a cornerstone for many students aspiring to excel in automotive service careers. His actions have not only jeopardized current educational programs but also the reputation of Pima Community College as a leader in automotive education.

Moreover, it's been noted that Webb has manipulated other employees, creating factions within the department. We believe that Pima Community College deserves leadership that promotes inclusivity, respect, and the betterment of student education. Therefore, it is crucial that the administration takes immediate and decisive action to remove Skylar Webb from his position. This action will restore the confidence of faculty, staff, students, and the community in our institution’s commitment to fostering a supportive educational environment.
