The issue

As someone deeply invested and concerned about the current state of our government, I find the position of Senator Fatima Payman troubling. Senator Payman, as we have come to understand, is currently ineligible to be a sitting member of Parliament under Section 44.
Section 44 of the Constitution sets out restrictions on who can be a candidate for Federal election. It essentially stipulates that any person who holds any office of profit under the Crown, or any pension payable by the Government out of the public revenue, is incapable of being chosen or sitting as a senator or a member of the House of Representatives. It pains me to see the violation of this basic principle that upholds the integrity of our public offices.
I believe that adhering to the Constitution is of utmost importance to the functioning of any democratic government. Overlooking ineligibility of a sitting Senator is a breach of our democracy that we should not silently endure.
Therefore, I urge all concerned citizens to come forward and demand the removal of Senator Fatima Payman. This is not just about one person, but about the fundamental principles of our democracy. Stand up, make your voices heard, uphold the Constitution, and sign our petition to remove Senator Fatima Payman from government.
