Seed Oil Scout is a dining app dedicated to bringing transparency to restaurant cooking. 

Our recent marketing campaign, in which we highlighted Carbone's use of seed oils in their spicy rigatoni went viral, and we were served a cease and desist from Carbone claiming that they would never put seed oils in their iconic pasta dish.

Sadly, their reservation desk says otherwise. Carbone does indeed use sunflower oil in its restaurant and bottled grocery preparations of the spicy vodka sauce in the rigatoni.

We are petitioning Carbone to meet their own standards and remove these ingredients from their signature sauce, and help lead the way towards better ingredients in fine dining.
