Ryan Anderson should be permanently removed from social media platforms—not because people simply dislike him, but because repeated hateful and disturbing behavior should have consequences.

Recently resurfaced recordings reportedly show Anderson participating in racist conversations and using racial slurs. There is also documented reporting that he allegedly directed a homophobic slur at Ken Urker

When someone chooses to publicly engage in racism, homophobia, harassment, or degrading behavior, social-media platforms have a responsibility to consider whether that person should continue to have a public platform—especially when they are actively using that platform to remain in the public eye.

This isn't about denying someone the right to have an opinion. It's about recognizing that freedom of speech does not guarantee anyone a social-media audience, monetization, or a platform to repeatedly spread hateful or harmful rhetoric.

Social media companies have community standards for a reason. If those standards mean anything, they should apply consistently. Hate speech and degrading behavior shouldn't become acceptable simply because the person involved has a following or generates engagement.

Accountability shouldn't depend on fame, views, or controversy. If the documented conduct violates a platform's rules, the appropriate consequence is removal—and in the case of repeated violations, permanent removal.
