The Issue

Roberta Stewart is ruining our beloved town of Middleton by pushing for continued development without a sustainable plan. As a resident who is deeply invested in the well-being of our community, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges our town is facing with the rapid influx of new residents and unchecked urban expansion.

Our infrastructure and schools are being strained beyond their capacity. Roads are becoming increasingly congested, leading to longer commute times and increased risk of accidents. Our schools, which used to be centers of excellence, are now overcrowded and under-resourced, putting our children's educational futures at risk. Despite these glaring issues, Ms. Stewart continues to push for more building and annexing, ignoring the clear signs of strain on our current systems.

Middleton's charm has always been its small-town feel, where community thrived, and neighbors knew one another. This overdevelopment threatens to erase our unique identity in favor of unchecked growth. We need thoughtful planning that considers the immediate and long-term impacts on our town's infrastructure and community.

We are not against progress, but it must be managed in a way that benefits all residents, not just a select few who profit from new developments. Our town deserves a city planner who prioritizes the needs of current residents and respects the existing fabric of Middleton.

Join me in urging the Mayor and City Council of Middleton to review Roberta Stewart's policies and performance as City Planner, and remove her from her position if necessary. Our town's future relies on sustainable growth that supports our needs and preserves the character of Middleton.

Sign this petition to demand change and protect the town we call home.
