Mr. Swan is the principal at Solomon Elementary school located on Schofield barracks. In the beginning of last year, One of his teachers was inappropriately touching students. Principal Swan is a mandated reporter and he failed to do so. He chose to keep the investigations internal. He then chose to not notify parents, as he allowed the said teacher back on campus to the complete and utter shock of the students. Once parents showed concern over this principal Swan sent out a letter. In this letter he lied and claimed that he had reported everything. 

Principal Swan is still under investigation. He failed to do his due diligence in ensuring our students were safe. He should not be allowed on campus let alone still be the principal of an elementary school. 

Garrison has done everything they can. Once they were notified of the incident that had taken place months prior, they conducted their own investigation and that said teacher was removed. Hands are tied at this point because the schools on post are ran by Hawaii’s department of education. 

Please sign this petition. Principal Swan failed to notify the proper authorities, chose to do his own investigation, and keep a teacher on board who was harming our students. By signing this we can show DOE, that Principal Swan needs to be removed as he is no longer welcome to be the principal. He has proven his inability to protect our students by failing and lying about reporting incidences. This should not be allowed.
