TO: The United States Congress and the American People

The President of the United States is systematically destroying the alliances, agreements, and principles that have kept the world from catastrophe for eighty years. We demand his resignation or removal from office.

He wages war on friends. Canada, Europe, Japan, South Korea — nations whose soldiers bled alongside Americans from World War II to Afghanistan — now face American tariffs as if they were enemies. Meanwhile, Russia invades its neighbors. China builds its military. And the President punishes allies.

He rewards aggressors. Instead of standing with Ukraine against Russian invasion, he pressures the victim to surrender land to the attacker. He does not demand Russia withdraw. He demands Ukraine submit. In 1994, America promised to protect Ukraine's borders in exchange for its nuclear weapons. That promise is being broken in front of the entire world.

He threatens to seize allied territory. The President demands Greenland from Denmark — a founding NATO member, a loyal ally for 75 years. He threatens economic punishment if Denmark refuses. This is the behavior America has always condemned when others do it.

He undermines everything that makes America strong. Not aircraft carriers. Not nuclear weapons. America's true strength is that 50 nations trust it, host its bases, share intelligence, fight its wars. The President is burning that trust for short-term deals and petty grievances.

The consequences are already unfolding. Allies are quietly planning for a world without American protection. Some will build nuclear weapons — Japan and South Korea can do so in months. Others will make deals with China or Russia. The system that prevented great power war since 1945 is cracking.

In 1938, Britain and France gave Hitler part of Czechoslovakia to avoid conflict. He promised peace. Within a year, the world was at war. Seventy million people died. Appeasement has been tested. It failed.

The President has the mightiest military in human history at his command. He could stop aggression. He chooses to enable it. He could strengthen alliances. He chooses to shatter them. He could lead the free world. He chooses to abandon it.

This is not strength. This is not strategy. This is betrayal.

WE DEMAND that President Trump resign immediately, or that Congress exercise its constitutional duty to remove him from office through impeachment. The Founders created these tools precisely for moments when a president endangers the nation.

Every day he remains in office, the damage grows. Alliances fray. Adversaries advance. The world America's grandparents built — the world that prevented another great war — slides toward ruin.
