Remove Pound Hounds from New York Animal Pull Lists in Shelters
The Issue
I am an animal advocate, deeply disturbed by the increasing horror stories associated with pound hounds in New York. We are the voices for those who cannot speak, and it is becoming increasingly clear that pound hounds do not have the rescued animals' best interest at heart. Instead, they seem to be using this as a source of income.
Pound hounds are currently on the animal pull lists from shelters across New York. This means that they have priority access to rescue animals before other organizations or individuals can step in. However, their practices and motivations have been called into question repeatedly by advocates like us.
According to a report by The Humane Society of United States (HSUS), many such organizations often lack proper facilities or resources to care for these animals appropriately (HSUS, 2019). This results in substandard living conditions and inadequate medical care for these vulnerable creatures who deserve better.
We believe that all animals should be treated with kindness and respect - not used as commodities for financial gain. Therefore, we call upon local authorities to remove pound hounds from the animal pull lists in shelters across New York immediately.
Stand with us today; let's ensure our voiceless friends get the love and care they truly deserve. Please sign this petition now! The dog below is Princess, Pound hounds pulled the dog unseen By them in the shelter By Signing their name to the dog and The shelter itself Delivers the dog within four hours Of its doors. I received the dog And within a couple of weeks The dogs neck And face swelled up, Contacted Pound hounds To let them know this I actually thought they would care, But surprise she did not. I asked her if she could run a fundraiser On her group For princess And she refused , I now have just about $8000 Into a dog that I’ve only had for about a month, The vet Said that she had puncture wounds That may have came from a snake Or A cat . She had to have surgery And have a drain put in To remove The abscess Around her wounds, Pound hounds Refuses to help anyone if they are not getting paid for it. Her first $6500 bill To Annapolis vet said They could lower the price If the vet used their 501 c3 numbers. She was very rude And of course refused this also. I have never asked her for one dime , All I ask for was a little bit of help , I posted the bills , Pictures of her face, and of course Was very rude to And asked Not to post On pound hounds Group Because she would rather let everybody think that she is the greatest. Princess will need her Drain removed, her stitches removed And has been back-and-forth to animal hospital. After checking out pound pounds Reviews, I do understand why nobody likes them. She only pulls the dogs with the highest pledges, She then sticks that dog in a boarding situation where You never hear About that dog again. I am being told that she put a lot of dogs to sleep After Collecting pledges for that dog This rescue needs to be shut down
