In light of the situation in the UKRAINE. We the signed, support the temporary removal of Pavel Bure’s retired #10 banner from Rogers arena. The NHL has shown reluctance to remove Russian hockey players from play. This would be a small act in showing the world that the people of Vancouver, if not Canada, are not tolerant of Russia’s actions. Pavel, an excellent player, is more than a hero in Canada. He is a hero to Russia. Again this is a temporary removal. A reinstatement will be in the hands of Canuck management at the end of the conflict in the Ukraine.
In lieu of banner removal. A statement by Pavel regarding his support of Russia or the Ukraine would suffice.
