The Issue

My daughter is almost 5 years old, and I haven’t seen her for 2 years, not even on a video call. Every little girl needs their daddy, and it breaks my heart to be separated from her for so long. I've worked tirelessly to turn my life around and provide the love and stability she deserves. I'm living a stable life, with my own home, and today, I am actively involved in raising my daughter's 9-month-old sister who too deserves to know her older sibling.

In 2021, I made mistakes and was involved in a domestic violence-related incident. I accepted the consequences and have served my sentence. Since then, I've been undergoing an arduous journey of rehabilitation. I'm enrolled in domestic violence classes and am actively participating in outpatient programs. I'm proud to say I have been clean since the beginning of 2024 having struggled with addiction in the past. These efforts reflect my unwavering commitment to becoming a better man and father.

Despite these significant strides, I am yet to be reunited with my daughter who is currently in the sole custody of her mother. I aspire to modify our current custody arrangements to allow me visitation rights and eventually establish a 50/50 custody agreement. Such an arrangement would not only ensure that I am part of my daughter’s life but will also allow her to form a bond with her sister.

A vast amount of research underscores the profound importance of a father figure in a child's life, reducing psychological issues and promoting emotional stability. My little girl deserves these benefits, and as her father, it is my duty and heartfelt desire to provide them.

By signing this petition, you are supporting my plea to have the no contact order lifted and to arrange equitable custody terms that serve the best interests of my daughter. I am humbly asking for understanding and a chance to prove my worth as a father. Please help me by signing and sharing this petition.   sincerely, Avery’s daddy
