The natural health product (NHP) industry complements the medical profession in using natural products for different types of ailments like reducing stress, aches, pains, inflammation etc. 

Bill C-47, just passed by the Canadian Government will impose  new and significant fees to import, manufacture, and sell NHPs along with new labelling laws. This adds additional costs to this industry and raises inflation. This directly impacts consumers, many products will become uneconomical to carry by retailers so will not be available, new products will find it more difficult to enter the Canadian market, many small and medium retailers will go out of business. 

The consultation for this program closes August 10, 2023, therefore immediate action is required.
